Piroxicam
Indications/Uses
OA, post-traumatic or acute musculoskeletal disorders including tendinitis, tenosynovitis, periarthritis, sprains, strains & low back pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Rub 1 g into affected area 3-4 times daily.
Contraindications
Patients in whom aspirin & other NSAIDs induce the symptoms of rhinitis, asthma, angioedema & urticaria.
Special Precautions
Avoid contact w/ eyes, mucosal surfaces, open skin lesions, dermatoses or infections. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Mild to moderate local irritation, erythema, pruritus, dermatitis, skin discoloration (mild but transient).
